Double wall pipe
Double-walled corrugated pipes are designed for laying power and information networks in the ground, to protect cables from mechanical damage.
Application
Electrical double-wall pipes are used only for concealed installation (underground or in a concrete screed) of high and low voltage cables. They are mainly used in civil engineering projects. Strength combined with elasticity makes it possible to lay double-walled pipes under highways, railways, and high-traffic areas.
Composition and properties
The main material for the production of double-walled pipes is polyethylene. The material is highly resistant to aggressive media and aging.
Design features:
- the inner smooth layer of the pipe is made of high-pressure polyethylene LDPE;
- the outer corrugated layer is made of HDPE low-pressure polyethylene.
The corrugated layer makes the pipe flexible and resists high loads. Smooth inner surface with low coefficient of friction provides convenient cable routing.
Advantages
Advantages of double-walled pipes:
- Withstand temperature drops from от -40 до +90 °C
- They have high ring stiffness.
- long service life.
- They are resistant to ground water, oil and gasoline.
In the product catalog you will find accessories for double-walled pipes: couplings, O-rings, boxes for adapters from a large diameter to a smaller one. They can be used to create complex cable routes.
Ekoplast produces several standard size double-walled pipes with a diameter of 50 to 200 mm, packed in coils. Pipes with a diameter of 200 mm in lengths of 6 m.
