Plastic pipes
In Russia, plastic pipes for electrical work have become widespread since about 1985. Since the advent of plastic pipes, metal hoses, asbestos-cement and metal pipes have become less and less popular.
The most widespread use of plastic pipes was with the publication of the Electrical Installation Rules (hereinafter PUE) of the 6th edition thanks to chapter 2 of the following content: "2.1.19. When laying wires and cables in pipes, blind boxes, flexible metal sleeves and closed channels, the possibility of replacing wires and cables ".
It should also be noted that the main regulatory documents for the installation of plastic pipes when organizing electrical wiring in Russia are currently PUE, Fire Safety Standards 246-97 (NPB 246-97), Technical Recommendations for the use of plastic pipes of various types for electrical wiring 76-98 ( TR 76-98), State Standard of the USSR 15150-69 (GOST 15150-69), Fire Safety Standards 104-03 (NPB 104-03), as well as an explanatory letter from the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia dated 07.28.2004 to these standards, etc.

The standard contains a number of requirements and provisions that differ significantly from the requirements of the current Electrical Installation Rules (PUE). The most important of them are: Insulated wires are allowed to be laid only in pipes, ducts and on insulators. It is not allowed to lay insulated wires hidden under plaster, in concrete, in brickwork, in voids of building structures, as well as openly on the surface of walls and ceilings, on trays, on cables and other structures.
Classification of pipes produced by the EKOPLAST plant
If we consider all the pipes for electrical wiring produced, then the following classification of pipes can be given:
- Flexible corrugated pipes (there are such names as corrugated pipes, corrugated sleeves, corrugated hoses, PVC pipes, etc.);
- Rigid smooth pipes;
- Flexible smooth pipes;
- Flexible reinforced pipes;
- Double-walled corrugated pipes.
According to the areas of application, plastic pipes can be divided:
- Plastic pipes for open wiring;
- Plastic pipes for hidden wiring;
- Plastic pipes for laying cables in the ground.
According to the properties of flammability, they are distinguished:
- Non-flammable / slow-flammable pipes;
- Pipes are non-flammable;
- Flammable pipes.
By mechanical strength: Depending on the load, corrugated pipes with different wall thicknesses and densities are used, and pipes are divided into light and heavy and superheavy.
- Light pipe. Withstands a load of up to 350N per 5cm at 20 ° C, which corresponds to an approximate load of concrete with a layer of about 15 cm (for example, in a floor screed).
- Heavy pipe. Withstands a load of up to 750N per 5 cm at 20 ° C, which corresponds to an approximate load of concrete with a layer of about 35-40 cm (for example, in monolithic concrete construction or a load on pipes of a human mass of about 75 kg).
- Super heavy pipe. Withstands a load of up to 950N per 5 cm at 20 ° C, which corresponds to an approximate load of concrete with a layer of about 50-65 cm (for example, in monolithic concrete construction or a load on pipes of a human mass of about 95 kg).
Plastic pipes are allowed to be used to protect electrical wiring from mechanical damage in dry, wet, damp, dusty and chemically active rooms, as well as laid outside buildings and structures in accordance with the requirements of the PUE.
Pipes are intended for laying in them in hidden, semi-hidden, and open ways, on fireproof bases, stationary electrical installations for household and similar purposes. Pipes are used both indoors and outdoors of electrical, telephone, computer, television networks, security and fire alarm cables operating at DC and AC voltage of no more than 1000 volts, made with insulated wires, cords and cables.
The Ekoplast company offers a wide range of pipes for laying cables for various purposes. The following types of plastic pipes are offered to your attention:
Lightweight corrugated pipes (corrugation) The FL series is a professional cable support system for hidden / exposed electrical wiring in walls (along walls), ceilings (along ceilings), floors of residential, administrative and industrial premises made of PVC.
Heavy corrugated pipes (corrugations) The FH series is a professional cable support system for hidden / exposed electrical wiring in walls (on walls), ceilings (on ceilings), floors of residential, administrative and industrial premises made of PVC.
Lightweight corrugated pipes BL series - professional cable support system for hidden / exposed electrical wiring in walls (along walls), ceilings (along ceilings), floors of residential, administrative and industrial premises from HDPE.
