Physicochemical characteristics
Chemical composition |
![]() |
PVC ECOPLAST is made from polyvinyl chloride, as well as from auxiliary materials: stabilizers, processing aids to improve plastic processing, additives to increase impact strength, pigments. |
Characteristics |
![]() |
Impact resistant, deformation resistant, excellent chemical, UV, aging resistance. |
Thermal properties |
![]() |
PVC ECOPLAST is a thermoplastic. The physical parameters therefore vary in different temperature ranges. The main strength parameters are valid for a temperature of + 20 ° C. As the temperature decreases, the toughness decreases, the elongation at break becomes lower, and the compressive and flexural strength becomes higher. As the temperature rises, the toughness increases, the elongation at break becomes lower, and the compressive and flexural strength becomes lower. In the temperature range from + 10 ° C to + 40 ° C, changes in mechanical properties are insignificant and may not be taken into account in most areas of application. In the temperature range from + 40 ° С to + 60 ° С, the load should be reduced. At temperatures above + 60 ° C, the load can only be short-term.The softening point for PVC ECOPLAST is around + 80 ° C. At temperatures below -15 ° C, non-shock-resistant grades must be protected from shock and shock loads. |
Mechanical properties |
![]() |
High strength, stiffness and toughness are combined in ECOPLAST PVC in a balanced proportion. Good properties remain over a wide temperature range. PVC ECOPLAST retains its high strength and creep resistance even under long-term stress under varying mechanical loads. Higher dimensional stability and strength are achieved when reinforcing certain types of glass alloys. |
Electrical properties |
![]() |
PVC ECOPLAST has high electrical insulating properties. The dielectric constant and loss factor are low, and changes in humidity, temperature and frequency do not significantly affect these values. |
Chemical resistance |
![]() |
One of the distinguishing properties of PVC ECOPLAST is its resistance to hydrolysis. Parts made of PVC ECOPLAST can be used for a long time in water at a temperature of + 80 ° C without damaging the material. Water absorption (0.07% after 24 hours at + 23 ° C and 0.14% equilibrium humidity at + 100 ° C) and dimensional changes in water are the lowest among technical artificial materials. |
Fire resistance |
![]() |
PVC ECOPLAST belongs to the group of self-extinguishing materials that do not drip when exposed to fire and meets the requirements of hardly flammability. |
Treatment |
![]() |
PVC ECOPLAST can be easily cut if the recommendations for thermoplastics are followed. |
Gluing |
![]() |
ECOPLAST PVC parts can be glued to each other. For this, adhesives based on polyurethane, epoxy, cyanoacrylate or silicone are suitable. Good adhesion is also possible with solvents (dichloroethylene, toluene or chloroform). |
Welding |
![]() |
Ultrasonic welding is especially recommended for PVC ECOPLAST welding. Good results can also be achieved with heat and friction welding. |
Varnishing |
![]() |
PVC ECOPLAST can be varnished with special varnishes. Both the padding method and the screen printing method can be used. |
Application |
![]() |
Due to its properties, PVC ECOPLAST is used in electrical engineering, sanitary equipment and heating systems, as well as in the automotive industry. |
